Retro Synthstack is the combination of 13 different analog synth oscillators. We sampled the ever classic Juno-60, the deep and rich undeniable tones of Moog, and the sharp and incisive waves of the Prophet. Since old synths have quirks and irregularities on each note, we tracked them all. Even the Noise voice was sampled across the entire range. Real synths you’ve heard so many times, tracked thru tube preamps, arranged and stacked so you can combine them in brand new ways.

Retro Synthstack
We have some favorite classic synths we always go to in production. But then whenever you’re on the road, you just can’t bring them all with, so we decided to make sure our samples did them justice.
Undeniably classic, these three synths have such character in their oscillators so we didn’t just sample one note, we made sure to sample the whole keyboard.
It is always inspiring to see what happens when you combine more than one synth on the same lead line, or pad, so we stacked all 13 so you can make truly unique vibes. Use each oscillator sound as a solo instrument or blend them together in infinite configurations to create brand new hybrid tones.
A fully customizable arpeggiator gives these vintage synth samples the functionality of an actual analog synth. Shape the tone with AHDSR and a filter of your choice before it hits 3 custom shaped LFO’s: Gain, Pitch, and Filter. Finish crafting your sound with 5 onboard effects.
We sometimes will still use the real vintage synths we have at the studio, but we really love the way this turned out and we know you’ll find it incredibly flexible and useful.

Uniquely Sampled
There are so many sampled instruments on the market made to replicate that instrument as if it were brand new and out of the box. We’ve used a lot of them and have found them to be useful.
We want something different. We want the grit, the fretbuzz, the subtle clank of the hammer on string. We embrace the imperfections. We want the vibrations of sound wandering in and out of phase and tune. We also made the decision not to skip any notes when we sampled these instruments, so what you get on each key is the full scope of that instrument’s sonic integrity, without pitch shifting to save time.
Nightfox Audio bring this uniqueness. Our plugins bring sound combinations no one has ever heard before, while staying true to the organic nature of each instrument.
